The Mark and The Martyr

The Mark and The Martyr

"Emunah Short Story Collection Volume 2: The Mark and the Martyr" plunges readers into the heart of Tribulation, where four face humanity's darkest hour.

In "Mei", a clone handler for Beast Corp—the Antichrist's sinister empire—awakens to the truth at the Rapture's edge and bolts for survival, hunted by the forces she once served.

"Liam's Dark Secrets" traces a cultural Christian's spiral—adultery before the Rapture, abandonment after it, and a chilling job with the Beasts—culminating in his refusal to worship the Antichrist, a stand that costs him his life.

"Lydia's 12 Christmases" spans a woman's journey from pre-Rapture ignorance to post-Rapture conversion, her journey seen through twelve Christmases, until her camp falls to Tribulation's wrath.

And in "Mary's Flight", a Jewish woman who made Aliyah before the Rapture endures Tribulation and relentless danger, and finds love in her landlord Barry. Together, they hold out for Christ's return against all odds.

Collecting Books 5 to 8 of the Emunah Short Stories, this volume weaves a tapestry of suspense and salvation. From the sterile labs of Beast Corp to the smoldering ruins of survival camps, each tale pulses with thriller intensity—deception unravels, loyalties fracture, and courage rises amid chaos. Perfect for fans of apocalyptic fiction, "The Mark and the Martyr" delivers a raw, unflinching look at humanity's final stand, where the mark of the Beast meets the martyr's unbreakable spirit.

As a Singaporean now living in Canada, this book brought back so many memories of my Singaporean people and history that are absolutely still a vital part of me! I was thrown into the sounds of water, the mix of our unique languages, the racial dynamics, plus some mystical and historical folklore! Fun, easy to read, engaging. Plus this being written by my own family member, taking our family history into a new interpretation, is completely thrilling! Well Done!

Emunah Short Stories: Abigail

Emunah Short Stories: Abigail

December 9, 2024

Do you observe strong relationships, partnerships, and marriages often sprang up from childhood neighbors, school friends, or church pals? This story features Abigail - A heroine anyone can relate to, not an impeccably organized heroine, and not particularly endowed with physical beauty. A crush on a muscular guy with worldly values despite attending church services.

It is a tragedy when we do not realize we already have everything to be happy. Abigail took Aaron, her childhood pal, for granted. He was always loving and patient. The antagonist is Stella, a Sunday Christian, Abigail's boss. Stella was full of hate towards several people, including Abigail. Stella fired Abigail and is capable of more heinous sins. Would you think that hatred and murder are the same category of sins? What is the response of the believer in Christ? Do read the short story. You might learn some precious lessons.
